Fomo Thai

Fomo is a well known Thai restaurant located in the heart of Melbourne CBD. Strategically placed in Bourke St and Russel St. Parking could be tricky if you choose to park on the street, it could be a bit challenging on the weekends but perfectly fine for public transport

Me and my friends have a sudden mood for Thai food for dinner but we know we couldn't get a table at Jinda Thai or Ying Thai 2 at last minute on a Saturday night so we went to Fomo. The restaurant it self has two level, smaller well decorated first level with an open kitchen and a much more spacious simple dining area on level two. The menu are pretty extensive and it could be over whelming. I'm here to share some of my favourite mains at Fomo; Crying Tiger ($17), Moo Krob Tod - crispy pork bellies ($38), Pork neck - with nam jim jaew ($17), Red Duck Curry ($19) and Tom Yum Seafood ($25).

There were also some other dishes I occasionally ordered such Pork Belly with Chinese Broccoli, Pad See Ewe, Thai Style Fried Rice, Omelette and more.

They also have quite variety for Thai Drinks and Desserts which I highly enjoyed; Pandan Milk, Thai Ice Tea with Herbal Jelly, Tim Ruam Mit - coconut ice cream with glazed banana ($12.5) and Coconut Sago with Pandan.

For me Fomo is one of the dependable Thai restaurant in Melbourne even though the price is on the higher scale for Thai cuisines but the dishes were presented nicely and the taste always pretty consistent. Another plus point is there were no lines.
