Cote Terra

Cote Terra is a small cafe located 2 minutes walking distance from Oakleigh Station. One of my friend is going for good to Indonesia soon and she also want to meet my baby before her flight. She live in Chadstone so Oakleigh is the perfect area to meet up.

My friend decided to order Polenta Mushroom - poached eggs, polenta biscuit, buckwheat, crumbed buffalo mozarella, roasted wild mushroom, crispy enoki ($18). It was more like a porridge dish, which is perfect for winter days or when you have a bad cold and flu. It's warm, smooth, rich and full of vitamin.

I opted for something heavier; Steak & Eggs - 16 hour hanger steak, fried eggs, crispy potato, bacon hash topped with chipotle jam ($21). The steak was slightly over cooked for my taste but remain tender, I would like more of the delicious chipotle jam. The potato was pretty soggy, it would be nice if it was crispier.

We stayed over an hour at the cafe and we can see people stop by for lunch or coffee. It remain busy all the way through but their fast service manage to cope the crowd. They were also pretty accommodating to my baby even though the space is not suitable for prams. On top of that, they also served a decent cup of coffee.
