Lux Foundry (Revisited-Invited 2)

Located near the Jewel train stop, Lux Foundry is like an old warehouse-turned cafe with high ceilings and large outdoor spaces decorated with greenery. We have been invited to many times before and I always fall in love with their interior every time I come by.

We started off with soy lattes brewed really well by the barista. Lux foundry is always busy as usual, especially on a Saturday. Not too many cafe have spacious place like them, making it perfect for large group and family gatherings. Handy for strollers and kids since they also have plenty of outdoor space.

We shared Pulled Pork Eggs Benedict first. The house potato hash was made well - very creamy on the inside. Eggs were perfectly cooked although it could have used a bit of the promised bacon crumb on the menu! The apple cider hollandaise was delicious alongside the eggs, but again, would’ve liked a little more on the plate.

For dessert, we had the Chocolate Waffles with a Tempered Chocolate Sphere. New to the menu, we poured a sumptuous hot caramel sauce over the sphere which gave way to a little ‘garden’ of delicately-arrangedberries and coffee-infused cream. The berries were definitely a good accompaniment to the sweetness of the crisp chocolate waffles and the caramel sauce. Overall, the dish beautiful in presentation. It would be great if they swapped the caramel sauce with something a little more bitter or sour just to offset all the sweetness going on.
