I went to Gabriel not soo long a go and I'm quite fond of it. Now, I came in again on a Saturday morning to try their brand new menu. The place looked the same but less people since I went in quite early. I got the corner seats this time, a lil bit darker than my previous seat but my kid love the neon blue crown on the wall.

Mushrooms - wild mushrooms, soft polenta, poached egg, pecorino, hot truffle butter ($19). This is my first time trying the soft polenta and I like it. It's somehow feel like porridge but softer texture, maintaining the comfort warm feeling in the stomach.  Love the hot truffle butter on top, I want more please. I also want more mushrooms to balances out the soft polenta even more. Overall, stunning dish. We also added their lamb & rosemary sausage on the side, it was heavily spiced and have a Middle Eastern vibe.

Gnocchi - potato gnocchi, chilli Napoli, buffalo mozzarella, parmesan ($21). My husband favourite pasta is gnocchi, of course he jump the gun and order this during breakfast time. But it pays off nicely. Generous buffalo mozzarella in the centre, topped with sprinkle parmesan on the top with rich red sauce and soft gnocchi. Yum! Warning! Their chilli is no joke, even for my Asian tongue.

French Toast - raisin brioche, cinnamon sugar, cream cheese glaze, vanilla ice cream ($17). I'm always amaze with Gabriel take for a very simple looking sweet brunch dishes. It screams sophistication with classic flavour but not boring. Overall, I always feel Gabriel is stronger in their savoury dishes rather than sweet.
