Shonan Kamakura (Invited)

Once I arrived at Shonan Kamakura, I remember I have been invited to the previous restaurant resides in the same place. James, the owner reach out to me via email to come and have a taste of their restaurant. Their staff was friendly and fast from beginning to end.

Started with some warm sake and soon the starters followed; Salmon Sashimi ($16) and Aburi Salmon Rainbow - seared salmon, avocado, mayo, soy sauce ($15). Fresh salmon sashimi is always my favourite then generous sushi roll also well executed.

Pork Gyoza ($9.8), Chicken Karaage ($10) and Tempura Moriwase ($19.8) with rice as well as miso soup ($5). Gyoza is a bit too mushy on the inside for me but my kid seems to love it just fine. Crunchy karaage and mayo, perfect for snack or even main meal. But the star is the tempura, fluffy crunchy batter with flavourful vegies. The only thing I would like to change is the prawn, I rather have the regular tempura prawn rather than this.
