If you haven’t heard of Sugar Republic yet, you must be missing out one of the cutest, sweetest and most expected exhibition happening in Melbourne right now! It is the first insta-museum in Australia that is currently opening their second pop-up in Melbourne. This time it is located at the heart of Melbourne CBD, Level 6 Myer Bourke St Mall.

The pop-up sugary museum comes with all brand new themes, decorations and props that are as sweet as (if not sweeter than) the original one. They are also keeping some of their most iconic showcases like the giant birthday cake, giant ball pit, and the neon wall, but in upgraded versions to be more spectacular than they were before. The exhibition will be available for a limited-time only, so be quick because tickets are selling fast.

We were privately invited to attend their exhibition that is also in collaboration with Taubmans, Australian paint brand which established in 1899. Welcomed with a glass of champagne and some finger-snacks, we were then seated at a table with few other guests followed by Taubmans representatives’ introduction speech about the brand. Then we continued to do an activity where we were able to test and see how the paints work. We colour-painted a birthday cake on a giant canvas with the Taubmans paints. The result was absolutely beautiful, we also had so much fun doing it. Afterward we were directed to enter the insta-museum where all the props inside were painted with Taubmans paints.

Everything was so colourful and eye-catching. There were many rooms and insta-worthy spots. Not only they have passive art installations, they also have a swing, magnetic alphabet board, free candies & ice cream and many more surprises inside. Everyone is allowed to take as many photos as they want and stay as long as they’d like to. At the end of the event, each of us received a box of macaroons. We loved the whole event, from the beginning until the end. Sugar Republic is definitely worth to visit. Bring some girlfriends and don’t miss out Australia ‘must see’ exhibition. They also have some merchandise for sale if you’d like to keep a piece of them with you forever.
