Collective Espresso & Kitchen is located very near from the Camberwell train station and could be easily reached with private vehicles as well. The shop is quite small but feels cozy. It offers both indoor and outdoor seating area. The shop was pretty quiet when we arrived and the staffs welcomed us in.

After looking at the menu we decided to try the sweetcorn & zucchini fritters and the smashed avocado with bacon and egg. We also decided to try their famous gravity waffles for our dessert and ordered cappuccino for the drink. The coffee was served pretty quickly and then the food came out not long afterward. The coffee was my favourite out of all my brunch experience. It tasted fantastic, blended nicely and was smooth.

The dishes were looking very pretty, the skills of art plating could be clearly seen. The fritters were fried perfectly, soft on the inside but crunchy enough on the outside. It also came with tiny slashes of avocado and a poached egg. The smashed avocado was fresh and the bacon that came with it also very yum. The star of the show was however their gravity waffles. It was not only looking pretty but also had a fantastic taste. There were lots of edible flowers put around the waffles. The waffle itself was thick but soft, the sweetness was perfectly combined with the bit saltiness of the caramelized popcorns. It is also one of the most popular dishes from Collective Espresso that we would recommend you to try. Aside from their normal menu, they also offer special seasonal dessert which is the . Since we came around 1.30pm, we weren’t able to hang around too long because they started to clean up for closing around 3pm. Overall we enjoyed the experience, the service was good and the staffs know what they are doing.
