Paik's BBQ is part of Baek Jong-won’s food empire. Now, it's officially expanded to Australia. Famous for their Yeoltan Bulgogi and Kimchi Stew, both are specialties of his other famous restaurant, Saemaul. I went in with my husband and two of my friends, also my kid. Korean BBQ is best to share between large group of people.

We started with some drinks; Orange Beer Rita and Peach Rice Wine. Peach rice wine is my favourite Korean cocktail, Paiks BBQ version of it, it's clean with no foam but still creamy enough. I never tried beer rita before, they also have non alcoholic version of this drink. Taste like beer but with flavours, quite enjoyable.

We tried several types of meat; Yeoltan Bulgogi, Pork Belly and Wagyu Beef. The Yeoltan bulgogi is pork, chargrilled in front of us. Best to cook quickly and up, cause it burns fast due to the very thin slice. The pork belly is nice, not too oily and cut thinly. Both beef also nicely done and all the side dishes were nice too.

Japchae, Cheese Gyeran Jjim (Steamed Eggs with Cheese), Soon Do Bu. There are many Korean BBQ places around Melbourne, even more these past few years. Paik’s BBQ is certainly stands out compare to others, in terms of price point, portions, flavours and interior of the restaurant. It's clean, bright and not too smoky.
