Cote Terra (Invited)

Cote Terra located among Oakleigh food village, not greek like most of the offerings in Oakleigh. I have been to Cote Terra several times before, since it's not that far from my home. They change the interior setting a lil bit, somehow feel more spacious now. I approved.

Tentacle Toast - grilled octopus, torn sourdough, chorizo, persian fetta, salsa verde, heriloom tomato ($20). I was quite hesitant about this dish but my husband wants it and also this dish is recommended by the staff. Surprisingly, the best dish of the day. The tentacle is perfectly cooked, soft but still chewy with fresh tomato, abundant salsa verde, slight saltiness from the fetta and spiciness from chorizo. Delicious.

Crab & Scallop Omelette - crispy soft shell crab, 3 egg omelette, pan fried scallops, scallop roe sauce ($27). The egg is sadly a touch over cooked, even though the taste was pretty good. Super crispy soft shell crab and perfectly cooked scallops, still raw in the middle. Scallop roe sauce so creamy and delicious.

Squid Ink Pasta - fresh water lobster, squid ink pasta, lobster bisque, golden noodles ($32). Pasta was al dente but sadly the lobster was over cooked. A bit hard in texture and I want much more of the lobster bisque to tie the dish together. This dish has so much potential but needed to be executed much better.
