Thai @ Toorak (Invited)

Thai @ Toorak located hidden on the second floor but surprisingly they have a wide dining area. Simply decorated but sufficient, perfect for family as well as big group of people. They are also big in delivery service.

Tom Yum Prawn ($9.5). I love the soup so much, even more after the long drive from Melbourne CBD to Toorak because on the horrible thunderstorm and flash flood everywhere. Hot sour and spicy soup with succulent prawn is just what we need.

Red Duck Curry - sliced duck breast, tomato, lychee, pineapple ($20.5) and Gad Prow Khi yeaw ma - chicken minced fried with basil sauce, century egg ($20). The duck curry was a touch too spicy for us but the thickness was perfect, I want the duck cut to be a lil bit thicker and fresh lychee instead of sweeten lychee. The other dish also spicy but delicious, the combination between minced chicken and century egg is just perfect.

Crab Fried Rice ($15.9) and Grilled Beef (Crying Tiger). I love the fried rice so much, perfectly cooked with generous portion. My kid love it too. Sadly, the beef was a bit dry even though it's still pink in the middle.

Ended nicely with Mango Sticky rice with coconut ice cream ($12.9). Fresh mango, sweet sticky rice and creamy coconut ice cream works every time. We went home happy with full stomach, it's a cure to a bad day.

  1. I've driven past here so many times, but did not even know this place existed. Thanks for sharing!
