Saint Crispin known for the very best dining experience North of Melbourne from the well known Scott Pickett (Estelle) and Chris Haydon. Both has an impressive resumes A fine dining venue with 2 chef-hatted serving innovative contemporary Australian cuisine at affordable prices. The restaurant it self has a strong wine bar atmosphere yet spacey and airy. Table seatings and bar seatings over looking the open kitchen to observe the chef's work. The menu is said to be changing almost every day

They do take reservations seriously, they ask your credit card detail upon reservation and $50 charge per person if failed to notify cancelation within 24 hours of your reservation date. All the seatings have a two hour limit especially the 6pm seatings since they need the table back by 8pm. First, we were served complimentary bread with caramelised onion and butter. We love the caramelised onion.

My husband starter with his favourite oyster; Rusty Wire & Moonlight Kiss Fresh Oyster ($4.5ea) and I started with Spanner Crab - wild, fermented garlic ($27). Both dishes were outstanding, fresh juicy oyster and the crab is simply beautiful. It's sweet, light, fresh matched with crispy garlic and creamy centre. I would be happy to eat this everyday.

Western Plains Pork - kohlrabi, lardo, crispy pig ear ($39). My husband said this is the best pork dish he ever tasted consist of very crispy pork ear, tender neck and melt in your mouth cheek. A combination of perfectly cooked meat with full of flavour sauce but not overwhelm the meat.

Sher Wagyu Rump Cap 9+ - braised intercostal, burnt carrot, bone marrow ($45) extra black truffle ($20). I love this dish to the max, there's nothing I can fault. Seriously, delicious. Perfectly cooked wagyu, tender, melt in your mouth, nicely seasoned. Love the burnt carrot and bone marrow. Top of with super indulgent truffle.

Frozen White Chocolate - pickled ginger, chocolate sable ($18). My husband still have some room from more so I let him choose the dessert and to my surprise it's light yet delicious. It has the nitrogen drama at first then simply melt away to a modern looking dessert.

We both fully satisfied with all of our meal and this rarely happen. Everything was so perfect starting from the professional yet friendly service, beautiful meal from start to end. I would love to come back to Saint Crispin for any occasion.
