Hakoya Ramen has been opened for a view months now and located at the end of La Trobe street, just before entering Docklands area. Like their name, they are specialise in Ramen but they also have donburi on the menu. They also have unique ramen such as Mazemen which is a Taiwanese soupless ramen and Hiyashi Ramen which is a cold ramen.

I decided to try their Signature ramen; Hakoya Tonkotsu ($14) with Karaage Chicken set ($9) and Tantanmen ($15.5) cause I also want to try their spicy ramen. Like in many other ramen place these days, you are allowed to choose the firmness of your noodles and with Tantanmen, the spiciness level. Hakoya tonkotsu consist of rich delicious broth with tender pork as well as aromatic fungus, it is definitely count as an above average ramen in Melbourne. Tantanmen offers even richer broth which I love with the spiciness, match nicely with melt in your mouth pork. I would certainly come back again for this.

Gyoza ($6) and Okonomiyaki Skewers ($8/1pcs). Their gyoza is also surprisingly good, thin skin with tender juicy inside. Then comes a unique menu, never seen okonomiyaki in a skewers. Delicious crunchiness with slightly tender inside with generous konbu and sauce. Love it.
