TuanTuan food comes from Mui Garden & Deer restaurant in Vancouver, an intentionally awarded restaurants. They are famous for serving the best Hong Kong comfort food. TuanTuan brings the same flair, they are very proud of their menu varieties; Snow Buns, Noodle Soup, Hong Kong style curry, Congee and Macanese rice dishes.

I talk to Clarion, the lady behind TuanTuan and finally come in for an early dinner on a Friday. The restaurants is basically fully booked on the night but also accepting occasionally walks in when table's available. Start with the classics; Nai Cha - Cantonese Mile Tea ($.5) and Yin Yang - Coffee Milk Tea ($4.5).

There's three of us plus my baby boy, so we try to order each of their specialities but sadly, that day they don't have their noodles and pineapple buns. First thing first; Soy Chicken Gizzard ($7) and Crispy BBQ Pork Snow Buns ($7.8). The snow buns has crispiness on top with sweet and fluffy inside, love em and the pork just melts in your mouth. My husband loves the gizzard so much, not many restaurant in Melbourne serves this.

My Favourite if the day is their Salted Egg Prawn, super crispy with creamy salty generous salted egg prawn and a slight spiciness in the end. Perfect comfort food, I can eat it on it's own or perfectly partnered with white rice.

Baked Pork Chop On Rice With Honey Tomato Bacon Sauce ($14.5), Panfried Lemongrass Chicken ($12) and Steamed Cod Belly With Light Soy Sauce ($18.5). The baked rice is a must to try, next time I would order the three colour baked rice. My husband loves the crispy pork chop on top of the rice and generous sauce. I, my self loves the panfried juicy flavourful lemongrass chicken the most but that melt in your mouth soft steam cod belly with soy sauce is also a winner.

They have my favourite Chinese dessert, Yay! Mango Pomelo Sago is always nice anytime, it's very fresh and light with strong creamy mango flavour as well as a lil pop from the pomelo every now and then. My husband and brother ordered the bread with condensed milk. Well, they cleaned up everything, but I need a lil bit something more on the dish.
