Exactly located on the corner of Charlotte Street and Canterbury Road, Charlotte’s Corner have a spacey restaurant with a backyard for the kids. It is a bit hard to reach with public transport but they are well known for their neighbourhood. When we came in, Lee is very friendly already reserved and prepared a table for the two of us.

I was feeling something fishy so I ordered their crispy skin salmon ($20). It served with rainbow garden salad with lightly pumpkin and sunflower seeds on the top and completed with their house-made vinaigrette. The fresh salad  is really balancing the salmon but it would be perfect if they put more saltiness in it. The salmon is well cooked with legit crispy on its skin.

My partner ordered maple bacon egg benedict ($14.5) with sourdough and topped with poached egg and homemade hollandaise sauce. Sounds really yummy isn’t it? It is yummy indeed. The hollandaise sauce is just perfect and blended with the maple bacon which is not too sweet.
We really want to appreciate the chef who was doing all the stuff alone with a little help from Lee in the kitchen. However, the waiting time is also reasonable even though there were a lot of customers on that day.

For the dessert, we shared Charlotte’s egg waffle with vanilla ice cream and it got fresh fruit yet pistachio crumble on the top. It is a pretty dessert indeed while at some point we didn’t want to eat that because we don’t want to ruin the platting. The waffle consistency is just right with a mouthful of ice cream and fresh fruit. I would love to comeback for their excellent customer service and try others menu!
