Ayam Penyet RIA - South Melbourne (Invited)

Ayam Penyet RIA is one of the most successful Indonesian restaurant in Melbourne right now. South melbourne is their original store and they just underwent a renovation. Now, decorated with white tiles, neon light and a lil bit brighter lighting.

Udang Penyet ($11.5) and Jasmine Rice ($2). I never had this dish before and I even never know it exist cause I always go for their chicken without even looking at the menu anymore. I'm very happy that one of the owner order this for me. Cause the super crispy prawn fit in nicely with the jasmine rice and extra crackles. For seafood lovers, this is definitely recommended.

Sayur Asem - Various vegetables in tamarind soup with corn, long beans, chokoes, cabbage &
peanuts ($8). This is a very common soup in Indonesia. The name sayur asem means sour vegetables, why? Cause the soup meant to be sour and all inside the soup is vegies, no meat. It is a very refreshing and light soup. Unique on it's own and definitely worth a try.

They also just open another store at Noble Park. Blog post for Noble Park has been live, so feel free to check them out. Especially for South Eastern people cause yes, I'm one of them and I'm very very happy about it.
