Siam Thai (Invited)

Siam Thai sitting in the strategic Bourke St, just a couple doors from Fomo Thai so it's clear they got some rivalry. Siam Thai is quite spacey and eligible for big groups and families, decorated in simple wood furnitures and white walls.

When we arrived, I found out that the restaurant manager has pre arranged the menu for us. I don't mind that at all since I pretty much loves all Thai dishes. We started with @Siam Mix Entree - curry puffs, prawn & veg spring rolls, fish cakes and son in law egg ($12.8) and Bangkok Papaya Salad ($12.8). The entree were good and the papaya salad was fresh with a tang of sourness.

Okay, a whole lot of main started to coming in; BBQ Pork Neck Salad ($17.8), Crispy Pork Belly Tom Yum ($11.8), Chicken Pad Thai ($14.8) and Beef Massaman Curry ($16.9). Everything was cooked properly and taste good but the pad thai could have been a lil bit more flavourful even though we ordered not spicy for the kid. Our favourite is definitely the crispy pork belly tom yum, we did not get to see crispy belly on a tom yum that often. Truthfully, this is my first time and I love it. Definitely my favourite kind of the tom yum and the broth is fresh with a touch creaminess. Love.

Thai Milk tea layer crepe ($13.5). Crepe cakes is so popular these days and Thai milk tea is definitely a must flavour. I would love this to end my Thai meal anytime. I want to try their pandan flavour as well as mango sticky rice next time.

Cause the food were good, I decided to buy something for tomorrow; Minced Beef Krapaw ($16.9). But, I regret it once I open it at home. First, is not minced beef, it's just a lil chunk of sliced meat and there's barely any meat in it. Just a bunch of medley of sliced vegetables and there's a very very spicy chilli that burns through my mouth and stomach. Despite all that, I would still come back for their tom yum.
