Pinkie (Invited)

Pinkie is a very aesthetic cafe located in the heart of Ivanhoe. The outdoors area is nested under vines and other greeneries - it's pet-friendly as well! Pinkie has a very good reputation and high score on zomato so this is pretty exciting.

We first ordered the Corn Toast that came with charred corn, miso butter, bacon, herbs and poached eggs. I loved the smooth yet rich miso butter! The dish may look simple, but the flavours worked really well. The corn was charred and sweet, and the eggs were perfectly cooked.

We also ordered the Sushi Bowl with salmon sashimi, avo, pickled daikon that came with a side of kewpie mayo and yuzu ponzu. I don't usually order poke-style bowls for brunch, but I was glad that I did this time 'round! The sashimi was fresh, and I truly enjoyed the creamy combination of the avo and kewpie mayo. The pickled daikon also added a refreshing crunchiness to the dish! I accidentally poured too much of the ponzu and it made the bowl too salty - so make sure you pour sparingly if you choose to order it!

Last but not least was the Sweet n Salty Pancakes with whipped honey ricotta, salty dulce de leche, banana, raspberry and white choc crumbs. Oh my goodness. The white chocolate crumbs sprinkled on top of the fluffy pancakes were just so addictive. We were quite full at this point, but I just could not resist smearing the pancakes with rich dulce de leche sauce at the bottom. So heavenly!
