Pezzo (Invited)

Pezzo is opened by Grossi-Rodriguez family's to fit in into fast casual dining market. The concept is all about 48-hour fermented pizza dough pockets filled with various Italian familiar flavours. While I have been familiar with the concept, so far I haven't found something that wow-ed me. So, I was intrigue to give it a try.

The place it self is modern, decorated in blonde wood and splash of vintage red and art. I honestly love the place. They need to invest in high chair though, cause I think kids would love the food. I know they are more focus on fast eating as well as delivery and they do have nice packaged but they have the space for sit down meal as well, quite spacey too.

We started with No. 5 - calamari, zucchini, white sauce ($14.9). The packaging is attractive, nice for pictures and damn, it smell so nice. The flavours does not disappoint at all, super crunchy generous calamari with fluffy warm pizza pockets, generous sauce as well. Love. Love. Love. Pizza pockets? I'm sold.

They also have several snacks; Spinach & Ricotta Panzerotti ($6.5) and Meatballs & Tomato ($6.5). Their panzerotti is one of the most popular and one bite at that, I know why. Super crunchy outer layer with flavourful spinach and ricotta inside, it's as good as any meat snacks. I even prefer that than the meatballs.

I originally want their tiramisu, as many of you know, I have a weak spot for tiramisu. But, the owner said that these things would be better, so I followed; Lemon Curd Bombolone ($4.5) and Cannoli ($4.5). Both dessert was okay but not nearly as spectacular as the pezzo it self.
