Ro is a small Japanese restaurant in Brighton. Brand new owned and operated by a family. The hospitality is just amazing, warm and fast. Understanding to kids and their staff loves them too. So it's safe to say that Ro is also eligible for family restaurant as well as a night out since they have a range of sake as well.

They pre arranged the menu for us, the only thing I request is the salmon for my kid. The rest, I let the super generous chef keeps pouring us food until the very end, he still said he want to give us more. But we already walking out with a take away bag.

Sashimi plate ($22) , Fish Tartare with crispy nori ($20) and R.F.C - fried chicken with ro special flavour ($18). It begins with something fresh and classic then walk up to something light with crunchiness and a sense of modernisation that we appreciate. The fish tartare is a mixed of red and white fish, gives them a unique taste all together. Then the generous amount of fried chicken comes to our table, super crunchy and tender, uniquely seasoned with sweet and a bit spicy. Super addictive.

Okay, this is my favourite part of the meal. Numerous Charcoal Skewers; Tsukune - minced chicken & pork, tare sauce, spring onion with 65 degree egg, Charcoal wings, Charcoal thigh, Enoki  Mushroom rolled in thinly slice pork belly, Asparagus rolled in thinly slice pork belly and Cherry tomato rolled in thinly slice pork belly. I love all of them with all my heart, I could easily eat this everyday. The super succulent tsukune dip in egg or thin juicy pork belly with crunchy enoki or asparagus or if you want a splash of freshness in your mouth, cherry tomato is the way to go.
