Ippudo finally arrived in Melbourne. Let's celebrate! Cause the world famous ramen joint ready to served it's hot ramen to the freezing people of Melbourne, winter is coming. As usual and predicted, Melbournian ready to queue and still queuing to get a taste even on weekdays. Make sure come early, to avoid the lunch rush.

I went in on a weird afternoon hour on weekend and just have to wait for 10 minutes for a table. The space it self is spacey compared to hakata ramen and kids are more welcome here, high chair provided. A more relax environment also promoted even though long chit chat it's not welcome since people are always seen lining up in front of the store. Let's start with appetisers; Seared Salmon Sushi Roll, Gyoza and Pork Belly Bun. Melt in your mouth delicious seared salmon with cod roe, will definitely order more of this. The gyoza also possess the same quality of melting in your mouth. Another must order. Sadly, the pork belly bun was so disappointing. Tough small meat in the bun.

Move on to the ramen; Akamaru Shinaji Tamago and Karage Men Tamago. The ramen price ranging from $17-$22. I choose the middle for both of my ramen cause I want flavour egg. Akamaru Shinaji consist of Ippudo’s original creamy tonkotsu broth with their signature secret dashi, umami-dama or known as their special blended miso paste, koyu (fragrant garlic oil), medium-thin straight noodles, pork belly chashu, bean sprouts, flavoured black fungus, spring onions. All noodles have an options of soft, medium, hard or very hard texture. I choose hard. For me this ramen is rich and delicious but not over powering so you can finish it on your own till the end. The Karage Men consist all the same thing except, it has thin wavy noodles and spicy minced pork miso. At first, the richness punch in your mouth leaving extremely delicious taste. But towards at the end, it get's a lil bit over whelming.

Gyu Sagari Yaki, hanger steak that looks so delicious even from the picture. But I have come back twice and they are always run out. I want it so much. So I will keep coming until I get some of those in my mouth. Order only what you can finish cause they don't do take away.
