Busbys Restaurant & Bar is a Modern French Cuisine sitting on Best Western Plus by Buckingham International. It's a small restaurant with classic outer image with red bricks dominating the building. They also open for functions such as weddings or any other events.

I went on a Thursday night with my husband, brother and baby. Basically, the whole gang. They are friendly enough to welcome us all, they even prepare a high chair and crayons for baby. Also give us a kids menu (we picked meatball with mash potato, surprisingly good too) and at the end the chef came out, greet us and decided to cut some watermelons for Xav. On top of that, their bread rolls was good.

Angus Beef Tartare - melba toast, salsa verde, raw yolk ($20.5), Japanese Scallops - braised pork belly, pistachio, carrot puree, caviar ($23) and Pan Fried Squid - Spanish chorizo, hot chilli, bell pepper ($18). Everything was good, beyond our expectation. Starting with the tartare, it was nicely prepared, fresh and strong in mustard. The only flaw is the bread that comes with the tartare was too thin and flaky to be support it. So it's a mess, shame cause the bread it self was good too.

The scallops was slightly over cooked but the super sweet carrot puree, caviar and melt in your mouth pork belly, elevated the dish nicely. Then the last but not the least, the dish that we underestimate the most turns around and surprise us. Perfectly cooked squid with super delicious in depth broth. Must try.

Duo of Duck ($37.5). This is the perfect dish for those who always torn between leg or breast, just like me. Tender, very well seasoned breast with slight sweetness from the orange glaze. The same sweetness appear in the crispy skin duck leg. Comes with Julienne vegetable, that also enjoyed by my baby.

Bouillabaisse ($39.5) is what my husband has been aiming for. He loves seafood cooked in this French traditional sauce and technique. Busbys managed to cooked the prawns, calamari, fish and mussel perfectly with rich in depth tomato confit sauce. Perfect for seafood lovers. Don't forget to dip the toast into that delicious sauce.

Black Angus Porterhouse 300gm ($39) with a choice of garden salad or thick cut chips, we opted for chips of course. As the sauce we picked wild mushroom sauce. Nicely done porterhouse with rich tasty mushroom sauce. Not bad at all.

We have to end with something sweet, even though we are very full at this point. Rum Panna Cotta ($14) and Creme Brรปlรฉe ($15). Honestly, the rum in the panna cotta was barely there even though it was delicious but could be a touch lighter. The passion fruit coulis and mango gelee was perfect for the pannacotta. Contrary to the pannacotta, creme brulee comes in a very generous size. Able to share between 2-3 people. Creamy and does not disappoint.
