Two Fat Monks (Invited)

Located right across the station, Two Fat Monks has lovely cozy interiors. The staff were super friendly. I was attracted to two fat monks because of the name as well as their social media presence and also their Asian influence.

We started our lunch off with the Chorizo Croquettes. I loved the truffled mayo because it was just singing in truffle flavour. Yum, just can't help my self to truffle flavour, always. The croquettes themselves were flavourful and crisp!

Next up, we were served the San Choy Bow and the Braised Lamb Shoulder. The San Choy Bow was the perfect summer dish. Light but definitely not lacking in flavour. The Braised Lamb Shoulder too, had a great balance of flavours. I could actually eat the lamb which is surprising because I don't normally eat lamb! The lamb was paired really well with the intense beetroot hummus.

And lastly, we got the Confit of Pork Belly with the crispy crackles, potato croquettes, fennel slaw and apple sauce. Just as the appetizers, the potato croquettes were still amazing. The pork belly was super tender from the whole confit process too.
