Coco Monde is an iconic cafe located in the famous Darby St, New Castle. They take pride in using fresh produce and free range eggs as well as make their own ice creams, honeycomb and marshmallow from scratch. Also no artificial additives or preservatives on their product. Owned and operated by a team of husband and wife in August, 2011, quickly become local's favourite and featured on Qantas Magazine, International DestinAsian magazine, Auto magazine and more.

I heard Coco Monde has won a couple of awards including the excellence award from TripAdvisor every year since they opened. I knew I have to squeeze in some time to visit them, so I decided to go to Coco Monde on my last day at New Castle. My last meal before heading to the airport.

Pulled Pork Turkish - slow cooked pork belly, prosciutto, cheddar cheese, lettuce, housemade beetroot jam with chips ($18.9). I'm not a fan of sandwiches but seriously, this version of pulled pork turkish change my mind. The bread it self was crispy on the outside and fluffy inside with super tender pork belly and sweet sticky beetroot jam. One hell of a sandwich it is! Yum!

Coco's Twice Baked Hot Chocolate Souffle - house made vanilla bean ice cream and Belgian chocolate sigar ($13.9). For me, it's more of a chocolate lava rather than souffle. The chocolate it self was very rich and the cake was dense and heavy, perfectly partnered with the vanilla bean ice cream.

The service was very friendly, attentive and somehow I find New Castle service was really good. They do have a high standard on service, I wish Melbourne service is exactly like that. On all the restaurant I visit, they were always accomodating and open to my baby, always ask whether everything is ok and take care of everything till the very end. Truly, a fantastic service experience.
