Shanghai Street is a very famous branch for dumplings. People are always lining up in front of their stores even before they are open, no matter weekdays, weekends, lunch or night time, you will see people inside their restaurants.

I never think to write a blog post for Shanghai Street cause they are already widely known, even tourist know them. This time, I got a rare occasion invited in by them. Honestly, I have been lining up for their dumplings since they only got one small store at Melbourne CBD. So I happily come in.

Shanghai Xia Long Bao 8pcs-$11.8, Fried Pork Dumpling 12pcs ($10.8). Xia Long Bao is what they are famous for, almost all tables order them because why not? It's delicious. My husband loves their fried pork dumpling the most as well as steamed vegies dumpling. Those are our go to meal.

Jelly Fish, Shanghai Fried Noodles and Shanghai Style Crispy Duck ($19.8). Jelly Fish is uncommon in Western culture but in Chinese culture it's a delicacy, I personally love them. It served cold and perfect for summer. Shanghai Fried Noodles is also part of my go to menu, flavourful, perfect with the dumplings. I never ordered their duck, surprisingly it was super crispy but super tender inside. I would love to order this again.

Our closing meal is Pumpkin Rice Ball with Pumpkin Fillings. Ordered by the marketing lady, that's sitting with me during the whole meal. The presentation is super cute and photogenic, love the red bean fillings.
