Jane & Co Cafe is a relatively new cafe, located in Hawthorn. Making it a strategic place for uni student as well as residence or workers. A nice location indeed and reachable by many public transport with plenty of street parking.

The place it self is quite spacious, perfect for family with stroller or big group of people. What I love the most is their decoration of colourful wall art. It added a whole ned character and charm to the place. Making it young and vibrant.

Truffled Wild Mushroom - wilted spinach, asparagus, polenta, gorgonzola, swiss brown, oyster mushroom, tempura enoki, truffle balsamic glaze ($19). I requested a poached egg with this dish but they certainly forgot about it. But the overall flavour of the dish actually save it all. This is a dish that I would order again and again. The polenta was crunchy but soft inside, perfectly cooked and seasoned mushroom and cheese. Yum! Even though, I feel the portion is too small.

Poke Bowl - Japanese rice, avocado, pickled ginger, seared salmon, fried shallots, onsen egg, radish, edamame, miso mayo, seaweed crisps ($20). I also love this dish so much, perfect combination poke bowl. There's nothing I don't like about this dish, perfectly cooked salmon with generous fried shallots, melting egg, avo and warm rice. Again, I feel the portion is too small.

Matcha French Toast - apple crisps, matcha soil crumbs, strawberry, saffron infused pear, mascarpone brulee, Canadian maple syrup ($18). This out of all, has a decent portion. Also delicious, warm fluffy French toast with strong matcha soil that I love and perfectly poached pear, on top of all that super creamy mascarpone brulee and sweet maple.
