Taste of Melbourne’s has been going on for quite some time, a festival that celebrates Melbourne's finest food and top chef. Their 10th Birthday Bash coming up on Thursday 30 November. Taste’s Birthday Bash is going to open this year’s festival with an exclusive gathering of the city’s favourite tastemakers at the Yarra Park at the MCG. It's perfect and suiting to celebrate all the participants the past the 10 years.

There will be a live DJ set from Australia’s pioneering female DJ Miss Goldie, canapes from George Calombaris’ Gazi restaurant and a sweet surprise from one of the best dessert chef Christy Tania, who just recently opened her own dessert shop, Glace.

I had a short interview with Taste Festivals Australia director Kristy Austin. She said this year Taste of Melbourne had a daring new vision celebrating Melbourne’s vibrant food and culture scene. It will held at a new location, at the Melbourne Cricket Ground’s Yarra Park and also a new summer date; 30 November to 3 December 2017.

Taste of Melbourne in partnership with Electrolux will host an extravagant four-day feast for all senses and all ages. In the festival’s spirit of creative fusions, top chefs will collaborate with graffiti artists, designers and sculptors in secret kitchens and studios around the city to concoct unique creations revealed throughout the festival.

I also ask her, her favourite moment for the past 10 years. It's amazing that Taste of Melbourne have reached more than 200,000 people. Some have attended Taste repeatedly every year. But, she said without a doubt, the amazing line up of talent and restaurants they have seen over this time is a highlight. It is incredible to see who has come up through the ranks, what their journey was with Taste and who they have come to be.

Taste of Melbourne tickets are on sale on their website with various time sessions to suits every one schedule and there's plenty of day time session for families with kids and babies. Yes, I will be taking my baby too.
