Mary Miller located just in the corner of 171 Miller St right in front of the Merri Creek Primary School - this white lovely cafe with much turquoise furnitures surely hard to be missed. It is located very close to the Fitzroy residence area so if you feel like you’re lost or you’re in doubt if you’re in the right place - always trust your map :p

The cafe is quite spacious despite the small outlook with lots of sunlight and hanging plants. Before we started ordering we always start with our fave Moccha and Matcha Latte. They use Padre Coffee beans for all their coffee - this one is nice. The matcha is not the strong matcha type but it’s more milky mellow matcha type.

What we had:Acai smoothies : Acai, Banana and Coconut Milk - fresh and nice, generous portion as well and taste just fresh. a lovely way to increase ur protein potassium intake :) Acai is really popular these days plus point it's healthy.

Zucchini and Haloumi Fritters with bacon, smashed avocado, tomato relish, poached egg, roquette salad and corn salsa. Love everything in this place - the choice of salsa and hey with corn as well really something new for me. it’s just that I was struggling to put all the elements in my mouth coz they’re just many tiny elements that I want to put at once. But when you successfully tried them together, they’re so good - the fresh taste from the salsa and slight sweetness of the relish and the slight bitter freshness of rocket salad. Slight comment on the fritters, would be better if it could be much crispy on the outside so that the texture wont be too mushy. Definitely a must try dish in this cafe.

Lentil and Sweet Potato Cakes with shredded zucchini and carrot in a mixed spice, watercress salad topped with rockmelon salsa and spicy hummus - perfect for vegetarian or vegan. Beautifully plated dish with 3 fried lentil and sweet potato cakes that were fried perfectly. So crispy on the outside and not oily at all. The rockmelon salsa simply smart and creative - oh and taste great as well. Also the highlight of our visit that day. The freshness of the salsa compliments well the taste of the fried cakes together with the spicy hummus.

Buttermilk pancake with fresh seasonal fruits, cinnamon, toasted pistachio nuts, almond flakes, vanilla mascarpone and Canadian maple syrup. This is apparently the only “sweet” dish that they offer. I fell in love with the maple syrup - simply nice and the pancake with that pistachio nuts and almond flakes just nice. For me it’s slightly too sweet and the pancake texture is slightly dense for my liking. But in general it was okay.

The service is pretty quick and the wait staffs were very friendly and helpful to help me choose the dishes and explained it to us patiently. One of the cafe that u should try when you’re around Fitzroy area.
