Hawker Boys not long a go decided to open their restaurant at Melbourne CBD. They specialise in bringing the two taste from their home grown country; Vietnamese and Chinese with a modern twist. Located in the famous hardware lane with catchy wall art, dim lighting and neon, simply ready to served you fresh Asian food.

I went in on a Saturday just before dinner hour, since I have a 5 months old with me. 7pm or 8pm dinner is seems too late for him so feeling both me and my husband been having dinner at 5pm/6pm to fit into his schedule. At least, for now. And yes, I do feel really old now. LOL.

We went in for their feed menu which is $55 for two people and we can pick four dishes from their to share menu. Our first meal is their Steamed Baos with Soft Shell Crab and then VFC, shorten for Vietnamese Fried Chicken Wingettes with kewpie mayonnaise (8pcs). Who does not love a crispy, flavourful, tender chicken wings? Simply Yum. I also like their soft fluffy bao with crunchy soft shell crab, I would like a lil bit more sauce in it.

Fried Spring Rolls with lettuce, nuoc mam (6pcs) with an options of pork or vegetarian and Wontons in Chilli Oil fill in with chicken and prawn (8pcs). Their wontons was spicy, I did not expect that much heat but delicious and authentic flavour indeed. Spring rolls is always a good idea, especially crispy rolls with fresh nuoc mam sauce.

Their service is simply polite and fast. Perfect for a quick lunch or dinner. They have seatings outdoor which I think it's perfect since you get the exclusive view of the hardware lane but inside you get to stare at their unique wall art which I also love.
