Banoi is a homestyle Vietnamese by Granny claim by their website. It's a casual dining restaurant with two locations in Melbourne (Docklands & Little Bourke St) and one in Brisbane. The menu has a wide range starting from some nibbles, pho to bigger items and rice dishes. Making it perfect for quick lunch or dinner.

I started with some pork belly bun to open up my appetite. The pork was generous and quite tasty, unfortunately I can't say the same with the bun as it was quite soggy.

Next dish up was the imperial spring roll (crab and prawn), this was the best dish of they day, the skin was crunchy and the inside was delicious. It went really well with the sweet chilli provided, truly remarkable dish.

Then I moved to main course. The first one was a classic beef pho (rare beef). The soup was delicious and the beef and noodles were generous. It was tasty even though the beef was a bit on the rarer side for me.

The next dish is in the crispy chicken with rice. The chickens were crispy and taste good. It just had the right amount of spices and overall an enjoyable dish.

We received two complimentary drinks from the house, kumquat lemonade - quite refreshing and perfect as compliment for the food, and the Vietnam ice coffee - nice for cool afternoon and had the right balance of flavour.

Overall, it was a pleasant experience and nice food to enjoy in the afternoon. Recommended for any great place to catch up on lunch time.
