The Tradesman Cafe (Invited)

I have been to The Tradesman Cafe before when it was first open. I do love my visit then, tasting their iconic red velvet pancake. The place located relatively close to my place, in the middle of garage and office making it perfect for a quick coffee or lunch. Starting with their super fresh orange juice and unique Strawberry latte.

Corn Fritter - black beans, cheddar cheese, avocado puree, capsicum, quinoa, tomato salsa, poached eggs ($18) extra free range Otway bacon ($4.5). The corn fritters consistency is different than other cafe I have visited, it's dry and crumbly with chunks of corn kernels inside mixed in with slightly sour avocado puree. I feel this dish needed more tomato salsa to balanced the dryness and enhance the fresh flavour even more.

Miso Salmon - pickled cabbage, cucumber, chilli slaw, herbs, wasabi mayo ($20). The salmon was slightly overcooked and crumbly even though the wasabi mayo was super creamy and delicious. I do think the pickled cabbage was slightly too sour for me and the miso sauce on top of the salmon lying on the sweet side.

I met Raman once again, the owner and head chef. He spent most of his time in cafe working to make the cafe better and better. They do have weekly special to maintain the interest of their customers. I do love the spacey and airy interior.
