One by one is a new cafe in the middle of Keilor East. Despite of being new, it receives a great response from the local. The vibe, the design, the colour and the music has a relaxing feel that attracts various customers from youngsters to families. This cafe currently has around 60 seats and they are going to expand it to 90 seats in summer. Looking forward to their outdoor seating.

We started with Latte Milkshake. Give this drink a try and you will love it! Their milkshake is so creamy since they use their homemade soft serve and the chocolate crumble from mork on top really compliment this drink. Despite of all those sweetness, you still can taste their ‘ONA' fresh-brewed coffee that it refresh your palate again. Contrary to their milkshakes, their Matcha latte is so weak and it’s not creamy. I would want stronger matcha flavour and creamier milk.

Hotcake ($16.5) served with fresh local berries, nutella mascaroine, honeycomb, maple syrup and fairy floss. You can also add their home made soft served for $3. The plating for this dish is so pretty! I really love how soft, fluffy and moist the cake is. This dish gives off sweet and sour ingredients that balance the taste really well. I especially love their nutella mascarpone on top! Tips: Don’t take too much time in photographing this! It is best to be eaten when it is still warm.

Eggs Benedict ($17) with pork shoulder, two poached eggs, burnt butter hollandaise. What makes this dish different than other benedicts out there is their unique hollandaise sauce. Even from it's name, I was attracted to it. I fall in love with their sauce once I taste it! So creamy with a strong burnt flavour, super yummy. Must try if you love eggs benedict.

House Cured Trout ($17) with cauliflower puree, potato, fennel rosti, herb salad ($17) extra egg ($2). The trout sounds amazing from the description and it didn’t disappoint. The plating is beautiful and I love how every ingredients in the plate goes well together. The skin of the trout is crispy and the meat is perfectly cooked.

Clearly I love my experience at One by One. They clearly served a hearty and warm dish with high quality local produce whenever possible. One by One is definitely above average compared to other new cafe all around Melbourne and worth to try.
