Cargo is located besides the famous Berth in the beautiful Docklands pier. The restaurant literally sitting right by the water overlooking the skycraper, bolte bridge and more. Cargo is casual, low key much more relax than Berth. I went to Berth last week, I love it for private functions and special occasions but Cargo, best to chill and relax.

Arrived around 12pm on weekdays, Cargo offers a lively vibe with mixed of customers between tourist, families and businessman looking for a quick nice lunch. The staff greeted me straight away and shown me to the table right by the window overlooking the water.

We started with Crumbed Calamari Rings - lemon, tartare ($12). It comes with a small thongs which I think it's pretty cute. But, I needed it to be a little bit more crispier and tastier even though the calamari was so soft and the tartare was delicious.

Chicken & Pork Chorizo Paella - chargrilled corn, capsicum, tomato, black beans, saffron, herb salad ,lime ($30). This was the highlight of our meal. Love the richness and depth of flavour that it provides. It also comes in a very generous size. Perfect to share between 2 people.

Beer Battered Fish & Chips - house tartare ($22). The batter was tasty and very crispy, we enjoyed it very much. Well cooked and seasoned fish, also accompanied by super crispy chips. We love the simplicity but tasty the whole dish is.

Violet Crumble - chocolate pot, housemade honeycomb, caramel ice cream, chocolate pearls ($12). The chocolate pot is super decadent, rich and thick combined with light caramel ice cream and crunchy honeycomb also crunchy chocolate pearls on top.

I would love to come by at sit outside on a warm day with a glass of cold drink on my hand to enjoy the view. I don't mind to also order the paella again, maybe this time I will try their seafood paella and also their woodfire pizza.
