Glovers Station is a 1930's service station transformed into a charming and spacious cafe in 2015. Located in Elsternwick but the exterior transported you to a small village in England. It has been designed with large windows on many sides, high ceiling, dim lighting, wooden furnitures, bar in middle of the room, open kitchen also spacious outdoor area in front of the cafe with original emblem remains on the wall.

I love the appearance of Glovers Station, that's my first thought. My mom loves Miss Marple's and this reminded her to the small cafe up in Mt Dandenongs. Inside is warm, comfortable and airy. It's a nice place to bring your kids as well as prams or tourist coming from out of town.

Pannacotta - chocolate, yoghurt lemon thyme muesli, freeze dried berries ($20). I thought it's going to be milk chocolate like penta but I was wrong. It came white with beautiful red colours from the berries. The taste it self was really sweet almost too sweet but balanced out by the yoghurt lemon thyme muesli and sourness from the berries. At the bottom of the pannacotta they have a round plate of chocolate, that's a lil bit tough. The pannacotta do come in a very generous size, bigger than most cafe I have visited.

Red Wine Braised Ox Cheek with jus & charred broccolini, burnt butter, lemon juice, manchego toasted almond flakes ($25). They have a brand new pick me menu which mean you can choose your protein and choose your vegies. The braised ox cheek was so tender, it literally falls off. No knife needed at all. Rich, full of depth sauce with charred flavour from the broccolini. Just simply a nice dish.

Burnt Honey & Soy Glazed Pork Belly with crackling & butter lettuce, buttermilk creme fraiche, crumbled blue cheese, dehydrated cherries ($25). This is also part of the pick me menu. Did not really like the butter lettuce, somehow it's too creamy and the blue cheese was way too strong for me. But the pork was so silky, soft and full of flavour with that crunchy crackling.

The service was impeccable although the cafe was very busy, they remain friendly as well as attentive. Even have time to help us choosing our meal. To my surprise, the meals arrived quickly. I also had an embarrassing moment when my baby throw up all over my clothes in the middle of my conversation with the staff and she was very understanding. She even play with him during our meal.
