Brandy, Kew’s is a brand new petit cafe hiding in the street corner in the middle of peaceful quite residential. Comes from team behind Temperance Society, Espresso 3121 and Miss Frank. The cafe uniquely sitting on a corner of a roundabout with simple design and grey appearance.

I thought I was lost heading to the cafe but my GPS keep heading deep into the neighbourhood than finally there it was, Brandy with two tables outside, several tables of two inside, one communal table and stools facing the big glass window. I love the small peek a boo plant wall they places in the middle of the cafe and the kitchen window. It's charming and brighten up the room. Cause it's cold, I quickly ordered coffee and it was good cup of coffee.

Lindsey invited me in and I'm happy for order and choose anything from the menu for me. House made Granola - apricot puree, poached pear, stewed rhubarb, sour cherries, raspberries, honey, yoghurt ($14.5) and Smashed Avocado - goat's curd, dukkha, poached egg, fresh tomato salsa ($16). The granola is our highlight, surprising, I know. I don't normally order granola since most of them taste about the same to me and I feel that I can make my own at home but Brandy granola? It has the perfect balanced of texture and flavour, all the fruits component were fresh and yummy. Smashed avo is a must to have in any cafe menu, this version has an abundant of coriander seed. Aromatic and unique.

Soup of The Day; Sweet Potato & Pumpkin - sour cream, toast ($12). Chicken Burger - crumbed free range chicken, carrot, kohlrabi pickled slaw, buttermilk bun ($17). The only thing, I requested is the soup. Again, because it's a cold gloomy day. Thick, rich, sweet soup balanced out with the sour cream and topped by crispy sweet potato. Love the crispy bits. The chicken burger is above average for sure, the chicken is crispy but tender inside and very well seasoned inside.

Even though the cafe is small but it has it's own charm and the decor with light board on the wall, plants wall and big glass window. It open's up the space and does not seem cramped or stuffy at all. Brandy also have $15 lunch box for a quick takeaway or dine in. The dishes, all comes well presented and well seasoned. Brandy, may be small but lovely.
