Tsujiri (Revisited-Invited)

Tsujiri is a well known brand for green tea from Japan. It finally arrived in Melbourne one year a go in the heart of CBD. Petit cafe with limited seatings but keeps improving their products and adding new menu every now and then.

I, once again invited to Tsujiri to check out their new menu. I started with their Tsujiri Zenzai, it's a traditional green tea with mochi and red bean. The green tea it self was pretty bitter, nicely partnered with slightly sweet red bean but it would be perfect with one of their sweet cakes.

Then I move on to Tsujiri Sundae - the cute pink sakura monaka is made by real sakura flower with their new houjicha soft served, crunchy Japanese brown rice, red bean paste, shiratama ball and chestnut. Their houjicha was pretty rich, creamy and sweet. Yum!

Now, their cakes; Matcha Choux Pasty, Houjicha Roll Cake and Matcha Roll Cake. Asian cakes is one of my weak spot so of course I enjoyed them so much. Feel's like I'm in matcha heaven. I also tried their new Double Fromage Matcha Cheesecake. I do think the price $9/pcs was too high but the fluffiness of the cheese was delicious.

I finished off with hot houjicha latte and matcha black sesame latte. I can't stop drinking both of them. It's creamy, rich and sweet. The black sesame was light and subtle, merge well with matcha. One of my favourite drink at Tsujiri.
