Okra is a long standing restaurant, located in Camberwell. Owned by a loving man, name Lawrence Fu. I was invited to Okra once again. This is my third invite from Okra, I known Lawrence the owner of the restaurant really well. It's a two storey restaurant with plenty of seatings for large group even for functions.

This time I dine in with my family on a Sunday lunch. We started our meal with Braised Ox Tongue ($12) in star anise and spices, which come out so tender and soft. Basically melt in your mouth. We also Crispy Spicy Salt and Pepper Calamari ($14), Fresh Hand-rolled Poh Pia ($13.9), Spicy Five Spice Soft Shell Crab ($12), Fried Quails and of course the flaming Tangy oyster ($14).

Nasi Goreng Indonesian - fried rice with chicken and prawns ($15.9), Char Koay Teow - wok tossed rice noodle with seafood and bean shoots ($16.9), Mango Beef with dried chilli, pine nuts with rice ($13.9) and Steamed Chicken with Hainanese Rice ($13.9). Above all, I like their char koay teow the most. Not too oily bit still flavourful. Their fried rice was the least that I like, it's a bit blend.

Dessert Platter - sticky black rice, sago pudding, seasonal fruits, four kind of ice cream; green tea, vanilla, durian, coconut ($30.9), Banana Fritters and Lychee with Ice cream ($7.9). As usual, everybody enjoyed the platter very much. My sister in law love their durian ice cream and my mom likes their coconut ice cream.

We stayed in the restaurant for quite some time until they are close for a break, before opening again for dinner. It's a nice family lunch indeed.
