Hash Speciality Coffee (Revisited-Invited)

Hash has been open for almost two years now. It started as a very trending place, right across the famous and always busy Hardware Societe. They are best known for their iconic cotton candy thick delicious hot chocolate.

I had been to Hash a couple times before since it was open but this is the first invite I have received from them. My mom is a big fan of their thick hot chocolate so I decided to bring her with me, together with my baby boy. The interior remain the same as usual with various seatings and spacey lay out. Perfect for larger group of people, kids and or baby prams. My mom of course ordered the hot chocolate and I ordered the new matcha cotton candy. Both drinks has a thick consistency, sweet, warm taste and we love it.

Espresso Pannacotta - espresso coffee pannacotta, chocolate cookie crumb, orange blossom syrup, seasonal berries ($15.5). I had been aiming for this dish even before I came in. Sadly, the espresso flavour is way too light for me but love the chocolate cookie crumb and berries. The texture of pannacotta was a bit too dense as well.

Baked Eggs - MHSC smoked jalapeno sugo, chorizo, pickled jalapenos, chevre, toasted sourdough ($20) with smashed avocado ($5). This was the highlight of our meal. It was a rainy cold Saturday morning and a warm spicy baked eggs is just what we needed. The extra smashed avocado I ordered, amazingly balanced the spiciness pretty well.

We had an amazing time at Hash, even more than previous visit. I think their food has improved and remain up to date with the current trend. Their service was fast and attentive even though they are busy.
