Frank's (Invited)
Frank's is a spacious cafe located at Cheltenham. They are all about being Frank, also a warm and friendly cafe where the staff know your name and your coffee order. The cafe it self was certainly kid friendly, I saw lot's of families as well as friends hanging around even though on weekdays.I get to meet Eli, the Head Chef as well as part owner of Frank. He was kind enough to say hi at the beginning and end to explain a lil bit about the cafe and food as well as making sure everything went well on our table. I started my meal with Frank's Extraordinary Coffee Thick Shake ($9), it is certainly extraordinary. Thick, creamy, smooth with strong coffee taste. I would be happy to drink this everyday. My mom tried their Matcha Latte ($5) and Iced Chocolate ($7), both were enjoyable.
Benedict - crispy pork belly, jus, bubble & squeak, poached eggs, hollandaise, sourdough ($19). The eggs was very well cooked mixed in with creamy, tasty hollandaise with super crispy pork belly yet still juicy and delicious.
Beef Rib Bao - beef rib, bao, pickled cucumber, kimchi, mayo ($19). The bao was soft and fluffy but the beef was a bit tough but I love the kimchi and mayo mixture. It also comes in a generous size and definitely will be fluffing.
Doughnuts - mini cinnamon doughnuts, soft toasted meringue, vanilla ice cream, rhubarb, white chocolate ($17.9). This was the highlight of our meal. The doughnuts was super fluffy, moist with a crisp outside and perfect sweetness. Combine with sweet meringue, creamy vanilla and fresh fruit. Just simply delicious.
It was a nice brunch indeed. We went home with anticipation of their winter menu, that Eli told us going to be launch soon.
