Yo-Get-It (Revisited-Invited)

We went to Yo-Get-It on the final days of summer - what a relief against the heat! The place had a very relaxed atmosphere l, with cushions and bared white brick walls. Several people had also stopped by to get some fro-yos as a snack for themselves and their kids. We both grabbed acai bowls and after a brief period of waiting for the all the blending and whizzing to subside, we finally got our bowls.

We were given vouchers for their acai bowl and we were eager to try since acai bowl is one of the trending food right now. I also personally think it was the perfect light, tasty and fruity dish, especially for summer.

The acai smoothie mixture was a brilliant shade of deep purple, and it came on a bed of crunchy, granola with almond slivers. The acai smoothie itself tasted primarily of bananas and the crunch of granola was a nice contrast in texture. There were various toppings you can choose in the toppings bar - they had cutely separated the toppings with 'nurture' and 'indulgent' tags so you've got your usual chocolatey options as well as chia seeds and berries choose.

Initially, I was like "Hey I'm going to be super healthy" so I stuck around the 'Nurture' section of the toppings bar, gathering a mix of raspberries, strawberries, blueberries and sprinkles of chia seeds alongside dedicated coconuts for a contrast of colour. It tasted good enough but I realised I needed to add something a little naughty into the mix. Soooo I added some white chocolate chips. Bite me - I ain't perfect!

Overall, my berry sprinkled acai bowl was the perfect way to bid summer goodbye. It's definitely a good fresh after-work snack (or indulgent - hey I won't judge!) for when you're feeling a little peckish, but not exactly in the mood for dinner!
