Chokolait (Invited)

Chokolait has been in Melbourne for a very long time. They focus on a range of hand crafted chocolates, cakes, ice creams, drinks, gift packages and desserts. Their original petit store located in Little Collins and they believe in close and personal services.

I was invited personally by Ross, the owner of Chokolait. He is there everyday at Emporium and his wife is station at their original store at Little Collins. I'm one of their loyal customers since 2008 and really excited when they finally have another store at Emporium a couple years a go.

I went in with my mom and she opted for Dark Hot Chocolate and I ordered my regular Dark Iced Chocolate. Their chocolate drinks are thick, creamy and heavy. My mom prefer her dark chocolate slightly more bitter but my Iced chocolate was perfect as usual.

Ross invited us to try their brand new, one of a kind, the world first Matcha Pavlova. He created the recipes all by him self with months of trial and error then finally it's ready to be displayed and indulged. Honestly, I never been a fan of pavlova cause it was often too sweet but this version was very well balanced. I can even eat half of them on my own and willing to come back for more. The matcha pavlova was accompanied by matcha ganache, that's so delicious. I told Ross to start selling them, it taste and texture like the famous Nama Chocolate from Japan, he also kindly give me some for take away. Besides that it also comes with sour cherry semi freddo, to add the perfect break and sourness to the dish.

As if it's not obvious, I love Chokolait and I do love their brand the new creations. Cheers to Ross for his success and to many more innovation.
