7 Apples (Invited)

7 Apples was found by Mark Mariotti. He lived in Tuscany for a while to learn the perfect craft of gelato making. Lucky him, one of the country most famous artisans Gelateria named Eugenio in Marina Di Massa willingly taught him the skills he needed. Once he returned to Melbourne in 2001, he named his first Gelateria on Acland Street, 7 Apples. From his favourite night club in Tuscany. Currently, they have two branches, one in Chadstone, and the other one in Emporium, both of them in the form of their cute pastel gelato cart.

I was invited to 7 Apples to have some gelato tasting as well as 5 litres take away home goodness. I was greeted by Daniele, who is Mark's sister. She welcomed me with her friendly smile and sense of humour. The Gelateria only has several seats outside. Regarding the pricing of the gelato; 1 scoop is $4.5, 2 scoops $5.5, 3 scoops is $6.5, and 4 scoops is $7.5 for cups and half a dollar higher for cone. They also sell shakes, yoghurt, fruit salads, fresh juices, and smoothies. They provide a take home package; 500 ml for $11, and 1000ml for $21.

I personally tried their dark chocolate sorbet and watermelon sorbet on the spot. Dark chocolate sorbet is surprisingly light but the richness of the chocolate clearly presents. Watermelon sorbet on the other hand, is super fresh, light, refreshing, and perfect for summer! As for my 5 litres take away home, I picked Ferrero Rocher, coffee crunch, chocolate mint, salted caramel, pistachio, and cookies and cream. My favourite, of course, is the coffee crunch, no surprise there since I love coffee.

The gelato cart is available for private event hire; The Piccolo for $779 - 120 guests +1 hour + 4 flavours, The Amalfi for $959 - 160 guests + 1.5 hours + 5 flavours, The Azzurro for $1,115 - 200 guests + 1 hour + 6 flavours, The Bellissimo  for $1,330 - 250 guests + 2 hours + 6 flavours.

Personally, I feel that they are very generous in their offering of 5 litres take away home for me. I can have a party on my own, literally. Honestly, me and my family kept eating the gelato and finished them in a week! Daniele was right, 5 litres is not much after all, I could have more of it anytime. Thank you 7 Apples!
