Dosa Hut is a family franchise business started in 2006. In Melbourne currently they owned five restaurant and the main base located in West Footscray. Ritesh the Melbourne CBD restaurant owner is a very friendly, generous and passionate man. He opened this restaurant back in 18 November, 2016.

I was invited to Dosa Hut but sadly on the day I have something else going on so I sent in my Indian cuisine expert, my mom and she brings her best friend with her. The restaurant have 3 floor, the ground floor fits in around 30 people decorated in a simple wooden tables, food showcase some of their food, wall displaying their menu and prices, the smell of spices were strong and delicious. The second floor also fit in around 30 people, have a cozy and relax vibe decorated with beautiful colourful pillows imported from India. The third floor was created for functions and events, fit in around 80 people.

Deal No 2 - spinach chicken, fish curry, cottage cheese, rice and roti. The spinach chicken was something unique and tasty, this is the first time my mom ever tasted something like this. The fish curry was rich and not fishy ay all.

Chicken 65 and Chicken 65 Biryani. This is one of the highlight of the dinner, it taste delicious even after my mom bring some home to me, it remains tender, delicious and make me want to go there and taste the other dishes. The biyani rice taste really good served with mirchi ka salan and green chilli.

70mm Masala Sambal. It was long and very big, best to be share. Filled with potatoes, taste nice and sweet, best to be eaten with the peanut chutney and ginger chutney.

Rava Dosa comes in a big size but very crispy and thin. It contains so much more oil compared to the last dish but it was very light and perfectly matched with the dips given.

Wada Lentils similar to a vegetarian doughnut, something unique that I never tasted before. It was light and delicious. Goat Curry. My mom is not a big fan of goat cause it's usually smell and taste so strong but this version was very tender and there were no strong smell. She love it.

The dinner ended with an army of desserts, starting with Dahi Papdi - yoghurt and mint. It have a crispy thin layer but melts in your mouth and left you with a refreshing taste. The second dessert was Sev Puri - potatoes, onion, sweet yoghurt, mint. It's a light, crispy snack taste a bit sweet and sour but nicely balanced.

Gulab Jamun and Mango Lassy with free flow Massala Tea. My mom was never a big fan of mango lassy but she love this version so much even addicted to it. It was refreshing, light and not too sweet but the gulab jamun was very very sweet. I love their massala tea, not too strong, not too sweet and warm in your stomach.

The service was impeccable. Ritesh and his wife was very friendly, kind and he wanted to serve us everything but we can't ate it all. With every dish the chef comes out to our table and explained the dish. The food service was quick and well paced.
