Sauced (Invited)

Sauced first opened in late 2013 at Chapel St, Windsor. It has a unique concept riding between the line of fast food outlet and a casual dining restaurant. The customer orders and pay at the counter with an options of eat in or take away but it takes around 15 minutes or more to arrive then they will call your name to take your order to the table.

I was given a voucher by Sauced to dined in at any of their restaurant; Windsor, Camberwell and the newly opened Chadstone. I went to Chadstone and they are located in the new food court with a small private area of seatings separated with the common seating food court area. Their menu ranging from $9.90-$15.90 for a basic meal. You can pick your meal size, pasta type, sauce, various toppings and sides.

Salt and Pepper Calamari with lemon aioli ($11). The calamari was crunchy, tasty but a bit too oily for my taste. I would prefer a little bit more salt and pepper on the calamari to amped up the taste.

Osco Busco slow cooked in red wine ravioli with creamy basil pesto sauce ($16) and Spaghetti with aglio oilo sauce with tuna and avocado ($21). The ravioli was al dente with flavourful osco busco and creamy sauce, I quite enjoyed this dish but the spaghetti was a bit too soft and oily, the avocado wasn't fresh which a bit disappointing.

Overall, the service was average and although I may have had a small issues with the dishes, it was pretty nice dinner.
