L'Hotel Gitan is a venture by the well known Jacques Reymond partnered with three of his four children; Nathalie, Edouard and Antoine. A year after closing down the previously number one fine dining restaurant in Windsor, Melbourne in 2012, Jacques Reymond decided to come out of his retirement and began working on a new project. This time is well priced, relax French restaurant with Chef Adam Smith, who previously worked with him at his old restaurant, Nathalie on the business side, and together Edouard and Antoine will be in charge of the front house.


I was lucky enough to win @twogoodtoresist Instagram giveaway to a Sunday Apperitivo held at L'Hotel Gitan. The establishment has a welcoming, comfortable space fits in 45 person seating with high tables, bistro seating and 12 seat in their private dining room. There's also function room located upstair fir in 70 people standing up.







They were serving pretty nice wheat Beer, Characuterrie Board and Crisp Croquette Aioli at the event. It was a fun, layback Sunday afternoon. People were chatting, laughing, hanging out at the bar and also outside creating a great vibe to the restaurant.





We only had a small sample of L'Hotel Gitan but maybe next time I will come back for more, since I'm a big fan of Jacques Reymond and I'm so sad back in 2013 that he decided to retire.
