Bamix x Bouvier Bar (Invited)

When you enter Bouvier Bar, you can feel the good vibe that they created, the environment that makes you want to stay longer. The chef that runs this bar is Adrian Richardson, who you may have seen in "Good Chef Bad Chef". This time, not only I will taste his food, I also watch his live cooking demonstration. The demonstration is so entertaining and fun. He has a good sense of humor to bring up the mood in the kitchen.

The special thing about his demonstration is that he showed us how easy it is to use Bamix appliances. Besides that, we also get to see cocktail demonstration by using "bamix". All the cocktail's names below were just named last minute. So, they might not use these names if you visit them.

Thai pumpkin soup; The flavour is not there yet, it is a bit bland. All I could taste is the coconut flavour. I think the coconut milk is overpowering the whole dish. Could have been better with more seasoning and spices added. However, the prawn salad save this dish a little bit, the spice from the prawn and the freshness from the coriander bring more asian to the soup.

Bermuda Triangle; The mixture is so thick and the more you drink it, it taste like a fruit juice, like tomato juice actually.

Chicken dumpling; The skin is a bit thick to my preference and the fillings is pretty tasty. However, because of the thick skin, the fillings are so little that I have to scoop out the meat to get the taste of them. It taste more like ravioli than a dumpling. The sauce in the dumpling is a bit salty. They should have separate the soy sauce from the dumpling to adjust our likeness.

Vietnamese cocktail; I actually like this cocktail compared to the first one. The chili taste kicks in right after you get the first sip. It goes so well with the dumpling.

Dessert - choc mousse. I think it is more like a tart than a mousse. It is so small that you can eat them all in one mouth. The pastry itself is okay but the cream is so bland that it taste more like a whipped cream.

Fruit a Nut; I think this is the highlight among all the cocktails. It is sweet yet I could taste the strong alcohol in it. It has chocolate shards on top too and it even smells amazing!

At the very end, I won a cooking book from the lucky draw. It was a nice, unique event with demonstration and recipes.
