Atlas Dining

Atlas Dining is owned and opened by Charlie Carrington, a 22 years old with an amazing cooking talent as well as amazing resume. I met him earlier this year when his restaurant still merely an messy space full of potentials. I did an Interview with him regarding his dream to open his own restaurant and now it's finally open.

Since my interview with Charlie and my visit to the restaurant sites, I promise my self I will definitely visit Charlie when it opens but as usual I had a very busy schedule and had to fly out of town a couple times then finally I told my self I have to come by and might as well make it special. I came in for my birthday and I was honestly to see the space transform into an elegant, lux yet rustic and modern restaurant. Well done, Charlie! Atlas dining offers 4 course - $50, Extra 2 course -$15 and we decided to go all in.

I started with Virgin Spices Vietnamese Coffee $10 which they make special for me since the original version involves alcohol in it. It was unique and I never tasted any drink like it before. It has a gingery taste mixed in with coffee which strangely I enjoyed.

Complimentary House made baguette with chicken liver pate. The baguette was well baked and we love it so much that we can't stop eating it and the chicken liver pate was really creamy and flavourful. One of the best complimentary bread and spread I ever tasted.

The first course was Octopus, Sweet Potato, Pomelo. I don't normally like octopus that much but I like this one, well cooked with a smoky flavour yet balanced with the sweetness from the sweet potato and a bit of pop of sourness from pomelo. I clean my plate pretty quickly.

Then followed by Asparagus, Egg, Iceberg Lettuce. The asparagus is the best part of the dish, crunchy, smokey, tasty with a nice refreshing sauce and well cooked egg.

King George Whiting, Pickled Vegetables, Vietnamese Mint. The fish was fillet thinly, yet remain juicy and flavourful. Lightly spiced but just enough to showcase the beautiful fish.

Wagyu Beef Pho Tartare. This is one of the signature dish at Atlas Dining this season, I have seen this on their social media as well as others posting it. I love the smokey taste and the innovation. There were nothing I don't like on this dish.

Sadly, my journey at Atlas almost comes to an end with the first Rambutan Grilled Cucumber. The original dish which display below contain granita with alcohol in it my husband did enjoyed it but Charlie modified the dish for me, replacing the granita with mango and ginger beer which I love so much.

Peach, Smoked Buffalo Curd, Coriander. I honestly don't know that peach could be this good, smokey yet sweet and tangy. It obviously ended with a bang and I'm fully satisfied.

The service was friendly, attentive and classy from beginning to end. Charlie and his team signed their drinks menu for my special birthday memorabilia from Atlas, it is indeed something unique and I do appreciate it and he also gave us complimentary two extra course to make it even more special. Before we left we were given chocolate made specially for Atlas Dining. My overall experience was perfect and my partner feel the same, we will definitely be back.
