This month, I was invited to witness the work of six talented finalists of the 2016 Glenfiddich Artists in Residence Prize, as well as, the works by last year’s winner of the residency Joan Ross. The winner will be awarded a prize which is valued at $21,000, where they work and live for a period of three months at the Glenfiddich Distillery in Dufftown, Scotland. The event was held at the No Vacancy Gallery, QV mall, Melbourne.

While we are enjoying the artwork, we are served by range of whisky and some finger foods. At this opportunity, We are also given a chance to talk to the artist and learn more about their art work. One of the work that caught my eye is made by Jason Phu. His artwork tells the night life in Sydney which was drawn in Japanese style and honestly, he is a cheerful guy when I met him despite of his style of drawing

Overall, it was another unique experience for me as a food blogger. I could enjoy artworks from greatest artist in Melbourne while meeting new friends.
