Haagen-Dazs is a well known name in ice cream industry. Found by Reuben Mattus in 1961, his vision is to make the best ice cream using high quality and carefully selected ingredients. He believes ice cream is not only for children but also for an adult so he created a silky, smooth and creamy texture suiting for an adult in three original flavours; chocolate, vanilla and coffee. Reuben is a perfectionist, it took him 6 years to make a strawberry ice cream he likes. All Haagen-Dazs ice cream always start with 4 key ingredients; fresh cream, milk, free range eggs and sugar.

I'm a big fan of Haagen-Dazs since I was young, started with chocolate flavour but my all time favourite is their coffee flavour. Sadly, it was kinda hard to fine Haagen-Dazs in Melbourne since I arrived here in 2008 so I was really excited to finally see Haagen-Dazs around. When I spotted Haagen-Dazs house I quickly stopped by, the house is small but spacious and well decorated.

They have a ready to eat ice cream menu, take home pint as well as the tasting menu, with the tasting menu booking is required. It's a one hour long ice cream tasting, the complete indulgence of the 12 Haagen-Dazs flavour. Sadly, I don't have time to dine in on their delicious ice cream on the house so what I did is the next best thing. I bought their biggest take home pint and honestly I finished them within a couple of days and had to get back for a refill.

It was a nice experience and I surely will be back for me during their time at federation square. Haagen-Dazs coffee remain one of my favourite ice cream flavour at all times!
