Spaghetti Tree

Spaghetti Tree has been in Melbourne CBD for a long time and famous for their strategic place. They are open for party, functions and corporate events due to their large seatings area, serving traditional Italian dishes with lot's of varieties from starters to desserts.

I have visited Spaghetti tree a couple times, most of the time is when I had a broadway musicals to attend later that night. It's conveniently located near Princess Theatre, Her Majesty's, The Comedy as well as Regent Theatres. The other reason I visited Spaghetti tree is because they have 25% discounts from Entertainment Book which is my partner in raising money for Make A Wish. The restaurant it self has two levels with unique retro a bit messy decoration, there are various types of seats and tables, the music are loud and they are almost always busy.

Soup of The Day; Pumpkin soup. It was a cold day so I decided to start with their soup, the soup was nice and well seasoned. Then my favourite starters arrived Calamari Fritti - pineapple cut calamari with salad and homemade tartare sauce ($17).

Torterllini Alfredo - beef filled tortellini tossed with combination chicken, forest mushrooms and garlic in creamy sauce ($22). The pasta was al dente and quite generous even though not as generous as some of the Italian restaurant at Lygon St and the sauce has a nice cheesy taste yet not too heavy.

The service sometimes could be a little slow because of their busy service, so I normally came in early to order and as for the check when my desserts arrived. Besides that, they do served decent variety of pasta with reasonable price and perfect for location for pre theatre meal.
