Lounge Kitchen (Invited)

I was fortunate enough to be invited to Lounge Bar and Kitchen to taste their brand new Classic Cheese Burger. Sadly, I was away so I have to send one of my representative to the event. This review is based on his experience. Lounge Bar and Kitchen is located just at the heart of Melbourne, Swanston Street, Lounge spent months perfecting their own bread, made in house from scratch, until finally they are ready to get many hungry mouths out there to try their newest burger.

The space is convenient, spacious and really well decorated with a modern vibe and they also have an outdoor space, perfect for summer. I personally think it is a really good place for gathering or party.

For the starter, I was served with some pop-corn Chicken, Calamari and some Fried fish. The calamari were the best, it is a little bit spicy and not too chewy. However, the star of the night is “The Classic Cheeseburger”. It is filled with 200 grams of Black Angus which is a mix of Hereford Poterhouse and Gippsland Rump Cap with a Swiss Gruyere cheese, sliced pickles and ketchup on the top of it. It is served with French Fries as well.

Overall, the burger was quite generous with its service size with 200 grams which is a big portion for just $11. The meat was juicy and tender, however, I find it a bit hard to chew as it used a steak meat instead of minced meat. I could say the pickles was delicious because usually I don’t like pickles. Lounge Bar and Kitchen has other different unique styled burgers and bites, so for them to bring back the memories of the classic cheese burger is really interesting. Just a bun, cheese and patty, that’s how a classic burger should be.
